Spinning

Today I run to my Stillness Time. My past week was filled with a wash cycle of emotional turns and tumbling. My planned goals didn’t work out as planned. Time just outran me and my checklist didn’t seem to budge no matter how loyal my efforts were. I had a sense that I was just exhausted so I began to take the remaining evenings of the week to detach from my smart device + computer. In fact, I stopped looking at them completely by the end of the week. Yes, I missed a couple of calls but I had to observe what cycle I was on. I took all the colors of my week and just tossed it in that place I call my spin cycle. It was time to shake off the debris, reframe and reclaim my refuge of peace.

First I took the physical tiredness, overthinking conversations and sheer exhaustion of life and threw it in the wash cycle. The awe moment of relaxing as the week gets washed away. You must reclaim your peace even in the midst of obligations and work deadlines. You must allow the spin cycle to help you get the worrisome wrinkles of deadlines out of your head. Use today to get aligned with your cycles. The cycle of life seems to be moving faster in all generations. In fact, it is!

So grab today to release false expectations of what you can’t control. Take the colors from the past week of your good days and bad ones and toss it in the wash. Remember to let the cool water rinse + refresh your outlook. Let hope become your buoy. Oh, let it soften the textures of your life. Smell the compassion and mercy of tomorrow. Just let things spin + get sorted out in your precious stillness time. You are being cleansed by the quiet. I hear the words “Rest in your place of refuge.”

Today I declare you will rest in your Stillness Time. Let the spin cycle of your life move you into your quiet place of refuge. Situations are being sorted out. Take needed time and be grateful for the hope of tomorrow. Remember, it’s not promised to you.

Living Life cleansed + refreshed today. This is your Stillness Sunday. #ejencalarde #livinglifetoday
