How To Live A Simpler Life

“Stop over complicating your life.”That response would have my son saying, “Well thanks, Captain Obvious!” OK, maybe it’s just not that easy to stop...or is it 🙃

So here are TRANSFORMATION TIPS from a content creator, experienced producer, Queen over thinker to help you REDUCE COMPLEXITY IN YOUR LIFE:

#1. Overthinking is a sign there is fear lurking around.

Find the giant, and kill it.

Whether it’s change, learning something new, fear of making a mistake, fear of success, or taking a risk and creating something outside of your normal projects... overthinking happens when we need to slow things down because of insecurities and realization of our own shortcomings.

The only remedy: Do it afraid! I promise you the giant shrinks [and is finally killed] with each step you take.

#2. Stop blaming the complication on the wrong issue.

Deal with the root cause.

What makes that statement or belief true?

#3. A complicated life moves you into procrastination, which is still a camouflage for something else... the pain of realizing great work doesn’t come easy.

OK, the reality of great versus mediocre is at hand. Today, pray for wisdom to accomplish your objective smarter, with better clarity. Clean your mental closet.

Transform your perspective with a personal or professional growth development course or coach.

#4. I’ve mentioned this before, but a BIG reason we overcomplicate our lives is because we haven’t identified our life PURPOSE.

Don’t lose your vision of where you want to go.

Reread my post on writing your Life Purpose Statement. It will help you reduce complexity and get you back in alignment with your values, which guides everything you do.

#5. Stop demanding certainty. That’s perfectionism with lipstick on it. 🙄 The critical self evaluations are lies! God doesn’t see you this way, so throw that mirror away. It’s time to move into nurturing and loving yourself, by spending stillness time in God’s presence - receiving his love.

#6. Oh, the drama. Are you a drama magnet? There’s a difference between being purposed to guide others out of feeling overburdened or overwhelmed, and complicating your life by not setting healthy boundaries for your life, friends, health and your life destiny.

If there’s a person or group of people that’s creating complicated situations, explore specific actions you can take to improve your boundaries.

#7. Live a more prudent life. Can you discern the true good in complexity? What are you accomplishing for the good destiny you’re seeking by allowing complex thoughts to invade your thoughts, and hinder you from sharing your gifts.

#8. Removing one thing, one step, one fear, can ultimately uncomplicate a life-long goal. How? Let’s say you decide to remove your ego from a task. You decide to replace it with humility and let go of how you believe the process should go. Maybe that one step to remove your controlling mindset could actually simplify the goal you’re desiring. Like a game of ‘pick up sticks’, removing one preconceived idea can expose the unstable part of your foundational life or work structure. Hey, that’s BIG-TIME Transformation!
