Be Still + STOP OVERTHINKING For Good

In my stillness time, Holy Spirit starting teaching me about overthinking. If I’m not careful, especially during this difficult-to-navigate season, my goals will quickly become misdirected. I’m so grateful for the practice of stillness. It’s a discipline that constantly saves me from myself.

Far from modest, over thinkers are intertwined with an excessive attitude that lacks peace. The constant bombardment of thoughts seeks to attach you to chaos + remove you from a comfortable place of rest. The question that surfaces: “Who’s ruling your heart?” Instead or seeing the work of righteousness in your life that brings a much needed peace, you are flooded with self-righteous excess. Excessive behaviors, ideas + attitudes that begin to pick up speed until you end of feeling exhausted, weary + downright plundered. The ulterior intention of overthinking is self-absorption. A pure goal becomes hidden away and shifts. The glorious creative moment has become dull, worn. The flickering result of this sidetracked thinking is an all-consuming excess. Have you stepped beyond your boundaries of blessing?

Excess is NOT ABUNDANCE. It’s more than necessary. Overthinking can never be satisfied. It’s a thirst that fails to get quenched. I get so discouraged when I realize how much time is lost from overthinking. Now I’m dealing with an excess of stress! Such a devilish ploy. Schemes are being devised, and the ideas are merely practices in stubborn footsteps. Excess never gives. A generous plan is not kindred to an excessive plan.

So what is the better way? The process of overthinking is eliminated when your goal turns to a daily desire for inner harmony. Your thoughts shouldn’t become a war zone. I have to ask you, “What is your idea of a peaceful life?” Today, meditate on abundant thinking. Let the Spirit of God give you inner harmony to revive your thought process.

Pure thoughts are peaceful ones that flow from a modest heart. A truly modest life is pure; not poor. I look around and see areas I need to practice more moderation. When I direct my spirit to the Spirit of God, he shows me how modest thinking comes from my stillness time. It’s in that active state of rest, I am more aware of God’s presence than my thoughts. And surprisingly that’s when the peaceable thoughts start to flow. I mean, like a river, abundant thoughts are multiplied and I do all I can to jot down the words or sentences as fast as I can. I get it. My pursuit of peace brings the abundant thoughts. I’m not tired or dizzied anymore.

Allow your thoughts to align with God’s abundance for you. It will be enough for you + those you divinely impact! Relieve yourself of the million mindless scenarios that won’t give you a peaceful, modest life. You security + quiet restful thoughts come from above.
