The new year will be a year of new #alliances. What is an alliance? Webster describes it as a bond or connection; a union by relationship on qualities. 

In the new season, there will be new alliances for you in your career, workplace, and even in your personal life. It will be important to be prayerful as you will be surrounded with new alliances. I have said, “Encircle me, Lord.” What will you say? What will you do to prepare for your new alliances?

I am imagining the alliances will be different than what you’re familiar with. Be aware of the links and connections you presently have and those you will be establishing in the new season. These present and new connections will take you to different places whether in your team building activities at the office; unique and different places as a business owner; meetings of enormous possibilities if you are deciding whether to embrace a career shift or transition into a new career journey. 

Whether traveling to large or intimate places, the twirling will require wisdom. The precision will demand a laser focus and faithful devotion to building up fruitful bonds, and tearing down dead barren teams. It will take prudence in the decision you make to align your core values with other persons or organizations. Understand what the alliance will mean for your next decade to come; not just the next week ahead. Demand excellence in the bond you will establish. Pray that it will stand righteously for all to see. Know your truth, your inward truth for it will stand higher and last longer than any matter you’re dealing with. The wisdom you need will come from the truth that will be demanded when you speak and bring concepts to the team you’re a part of or building. 

Finally, be discreet. Understanding the appropriateness of discretion will strengthen the alliances you seek. Trust is formed in bonds that hold discretion dear, for these relationships have a godly quality. Gossip and backbiting hold no place in these alliances. Rather, these professional and personal connections will understand the purity of love. Pure love transcends philos. It is agape. And that’s the type of alliances we should attain.

Get ready for a new season where opportunities for new alliances will come to your door. Reflect on the wisdom you need, that carries with it prudence, understanding, excellence, truth, righteousness, knowledge, discretion, and godliness - - to form the alliances that will bring mutual favor and honor.
