Learning Process

The process of learning can feel like a blender.

I know that learning new systems and techniques are a great thing. However, for me, the process of acquiring a new skill or behavior can also feel overwhelming because sometimes the steps have not existed before in my set of experiences. I must think about doing them by discovering a different way to produce than I have in past projects. Professionally, it has taken a new strength and patience to accomplish learning new systems and operations. Like a newborn baby with a vastly different temperament than the other children, I must have patience with the newborn instructors teaching me new techniques.

I must also have patience when I notice the diverse instructors may not be committed or emotionally aware of how vulnerable I must be in order to allow the uptick (or tock) of this newly integrated process to take place. There is a time period when the learning must wash over me and I must have the strength to allow it. This new acuity is mandated in the learning process. I am aware of the big progressive deal it is that I’ve decided to change and turn toward a new way of thinking, doing and processing.

I must be patient with any lack of commitment I’m discerning. I must be patient with my lack of commitment. I must realize the strength others need to stop the momentum of their work flow in order to communicate to me what may be tacit knowledge. I must be committed to their new expressions, or lack thereof. I must be patient about the explanation of terms that don’t match my project glossary. I must be committed to slowing them down in order for us to collectively grasp a better sense of our disposition and concern regarding this learning process..

It’s not arriving, but It’s here! The faster integration of knowledge and application. Fingers moving, mouths speaking, faces gesturing, the atmosphere swelling with acceleration and anxious time clocks. The tick tock or ‘tik tok’ of learning the new process of learning the new process can feel like a blender. The roaring grind; the external sound and inner vibration can rise violently when the process of learning something brand new is taking place.

Today, I walk gently or press briskly forward, as the process of learning requires. Thankful thoughts start my day and blended conversation concoctions begin. I thread patience with each relationship as I learn something new today. I commit to the exchange of dialogue and pray for their commitment for our fruitful and forthcoming interaction.

Let the process of learning today strengthen your hopes in achieving the goals you desire. I know the blending of commitment and patience will create a smoother result.

Live Life blending Today!
